Happy Ending
Massages.
If you have ever had one, you know they are amazing!
Before massage.
I just finished getting an 80 minute Swedish and a little Deep Tissue Massage.
I have not had a massage in....years.
When I called the Spa in Tulsa, to book it- the receptionist asked if it was okay with me if the masseuse was male.
I said, "Yes, that's fine with me."
Naturally, I had to prepare for my massage.
I showered, exfoliated and shaved.
I didn't want the masseuse to get "rug burns" on his hands. 🤣
I usually get massages by a female. All but one, (before today) were all done by females.
The first massage I got from a male, was almost 15 years ago.
It was on our honeymoon in Cancun.
Our honeymoon got interrupted by Hurricane Wilma.
After the hurricane passed, we (all the guests at the Hilton) were bussed to Villahermosa, Mexico.
After the whole hurricane dubacle, I was in desperate need of some pampering.
Anyway, as I was getting checked in for my Mexico massage, the lady at the front desk told me it would be a male.
I wasn't super comfortable about that, but it would have to do. He was the only one available.
If you know me, I'm not so good at "hearing."
If someone is a low talker or has a thick accent, or mumbles...I don't hear what they say. It's really hard for me to make out what they said.
I say, "Huh, or excuse me?"
Well, of course in the heart of Mexico, my masseuse had a REALLY heavy accent.
He kept asking me things during the massage.
My deaf ass, didn't know what the hell he was saying. 🤔
So, I just ignored him.
Well, he KEPT asking questions.
Eventually, I just nodded and said yes.
Hoping I didn't just agree to something....
Um how shall I put it...
Unsavory or a "Happy Ending-ish." 😳
Turns out, I either DID agree to something, or he was just not very ethical.
The upper thighs...well...he went waaaay too high for my liking.
Not cool.
I digress.
Back to today's massage.
The Spa called me a day or two before, to confirm. The receptionist told me his name.
When I hung up the phone, I thought what this person might look like, just based on the name.
To me, it was a "hillbilly" name. I kept hoping this dude didn't have an accent (like the last male masseuse) and, that he had all of this teeth. 🤷🤣
Not that he NEEDS teeth to massage people...just because when I think hillbilly, I think, missing, rotten teeth. IDK.
Turns out, the male masseuse was very professional in ALL aspects.
Also, he was NOT a hillbilly.
He looked like Kevin Heart. Very nice man.
It was difficult to get relaxed at first, since my other male masseuse experience was not something that I like I recall.
One of the funny moments was when, I'm face down, ass up, on the massage table.
He told me to breathe deeply two times.
I Hesitated.
My mind thought: hopefully it's aromatherapy and NOT chloroform. 😂😂
(I've seen too many movies.)
Then, when I turned onto my back, he put a cover over my eyes.
Like a weighted blanket-type blindfold.
I wasn't expecting THAT.
However, it was a welcome surprise.
Since the room had a bright light shining right into my eyeballs. = Not very relaxing.
I felt kinda bad as he kept putting lots and lots of oil on me. Guess I have dry skin.
Bet he use a whole bottle of oil on me. 🤦
I recommend this spa 💯 percent.
Five stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
Oh. When the spa host showed me the women's locker room, and where to put my belongings and clothes, as soon as she left, I opened the locker, put my 👜 in there, then start disrobing.
It wasn't until AFTER, I'm already in my crisp, soft, white robe...that I turned around to see this sign.
After having 2 kids, and turning 36 (this August) I'm not shy about my body.
I've got plenty of physical "flaws," however I'm finally comfortable in my skin.
I even booked a Boudior photoshoot for myself, this summer.
Something I've always wanted to do, but never had the nerve to do it.
Now, that I'm all relaxed, time to let the day-to-days stress build up again. 😉
After massage. Soooo relaxed.
I won't go so long between now and my next massage.
Until next time.
