Shaving, Nick names and The Dalton's

Part 1.
It all started back on Friday around 4pm. I texted the hubs to see if he was coming home first or if me and the girls should just meet him in town after work.
He said to meet him in town.
So I proceed to get myself presentable.
Bathe. Yikes my legs need shaved! I tell the kids to go play or watch tv since I'm on a 1 hourish time crunch to get Chris.
I strip down and get in the bathtub.
No sooner as the water gets turned on and I grab my razor do I hear the dreaded.....door knob squeaking, and I wait to see who's behind the bathroom door.
It's Quinn.
"Mommy I need to pee."
OK, go. Then please get out.
She peed in the toilet and then gets naked and says..."I want to take a baff with you."
No. Please get out! At this point I'm halfway done with one leg.
Then she disobeys me and climbs over the side of the tub and encroaches on my space and personal time! Ugh. Lil shit!
She unloads the WHOLE bathtub toy rack. (Which isnt fun to sit on or maneuver around while shaving!)
Then I notice a piece of something brown floating around in the water. I didn't think anything of it....because its gotta be a tiny piece of a leaf, right?
Well, finally after making Quinn stand up so I can finish up shaving, the process went a bit faster. Not ideal circumstances. But at least I got both legs...and more groomed! :)
It wasn't until after I'm out of the tub, that I noticed that not only did Quinn pee..... she also um... yeah. So, that "leaf" probably wasn't one after all.
You have NO idea how skeeved out I was and what all was running through my mind!
I wanted to pour rubbing alcohol over my legs. But figured that miiight burn a tad.
I settled for antibiotic ointment all over shaved areas.
Note to self. I'm NEVER letting Quinn get in the bath with me again. Plus the door is getting locked!!
Pee your pants, kid. I will clean it up when I'm out of the bathroom!!
Part 2.
Downtown.
Dalton Defender Days & Football!
Friday: DDD then Nado football game that evening.  (Which was the first highschool football game Chris and I had ever been to since we have moved here in 2007.) Good game, good times. Sophie got to see her bff. :) then mama got to hang out with some friends after the game, tailgate style!!

Saturday:
This was by far the best time we have ever had at Dalton Days. Sophie is at the age where she was able to do a lot of fun things. Crafts; made a bird feeder with peanut butter and bird seed, and a western beaded necklace.
Played an assortment of games, ring toss, knock the cans down, toss the rubber chickens in the chicken pen with a frying pan, and throw plastic cow patties into buckets. :)
Both Sophie and Quinn got their faces painted. Sophie got a rainbow above her left eye and Quinn got a pink kitty cat painted all over her face. Afterward she looked in the mirror and said, "meow" :) it was so cute!
They also took a mower "train"ride and we watched the reenactment. (With ear plugs)
Ps-I am an expert ear plug putter inner. :) haha
I bought some cinnamon rolls from some Amish fella. And I might have inadvertently insulted him, by asking if they were dry or not. Lol
I'm not gonna be buying no dried up cinnamon rolls!  (Who's with me on this?)
He said, "no mam, they are moist and then winked at me then continued to say, ya won't choke on 'em that's for sure."
I smiled and laughed!! Oh my....
Chris got some BBQ from a great food truck. And we all picked a curb to sit and eat.  I ate scrambled eggs for breakfast, and it was now noon. So, its high time to try those Amish cinnamon rolls. :)
one bite...was all it took. Then I decided that I would walk my happy behind back over to him (when I finished it) and make sure he knew that he had my approval. Well done, Amish fella, well done! :)
We walked around some more and saw a few familiar faces, firefighters and friends.
Part 3.
Ever see someone around town, you don't know their name but they have a very distinct face or body? Or maybe  you have friend that has a certain name that is perfect for.....a nickname!!?
I personally have nicknames for certain people. For example, there is this civil servant that every time I see him I think of "Tweeder" from Varsity Blues. Lol
More nicknames I have for people:
"Does she have a Pulse?"
"Silver fox"
"Arrest me anytime"
"Italian hottie"
"Walkman-man"
"Porn-stache"
"Hippie"
"Best laugh ever"
Those are just some of the ones that I have for people. :) some others that I have might be dead giveaways to who they are in real life. So, I'm not typing those! Haha
Til next time.
Xoxoxo
